Abstract

We used barium acetate and tetraisopropoxi titanium as the starting materials and methanol and 2-methoxyethanol (6:4) as solvent. We dissolved polyvinylprrolidone (PVP) as the shape control. We found that we successfully prepared the single phase of polycrystal BaTiO3 particles which sintered at 1173K for 6h using sol-gel process and that the mean particle size of polycrystal BaTiO3 was about 100 nm. It was found that the drive voltage of TN cell which doped single phase of polycrystal BaTiO3 nanoparticles lower than the that of nondoped TN cell.
