Abstract

Microwave dielectric properties of the Y3Al5O12(YAG) ceramics have been investigated to compare with the case of YAG single crystal. Relative densities of the YAG ceramics prepared at 1650C were 99(1)%, which were independent on the sintering duration time up to 24 h. On the other hand, average grain size increased with increasing the sintering time. The Qf value of the prepared YAG ceramics increased with sintering time, which is similar behavior to the case of the average grain size.
