Abstract
Bismuth titanate precursor powders were prepared by the reaction of tri(ethyl acetoacetato)bismuth (III), bis(ethyl acetoacetato)diethoxytitanium (IV), with triethanolamine. This precursor powder was soluble in alcohol and gave oxide by heating with combustion of the organic components. Bismuth titanate precursor powder was dissolved in 2-methoxyethanol and subjected to spin-coating on platinum plate and then heated to 800oC to give a bismuth titanate ferroelectric thin film. The dielectric constant was 147 at 100 Hz.
