Abstract
Water resistivity of lead glasses contained in CRT was examined in acidic and basic conditions at 90 and 70oC. The leaching model in these conditions was estimated from leached amount of each element and surface change. Funnel glass showed diffusion controlled leaching in acid at least 364 days at 90oC. Neck glass showed congruent dissolution after 60days at 90oC. In basic condition, the leaching stopped after large dissolution at initial stage in both glasses. Both glasses showed formation of protective layer in basic condition. The layer dissolved into renewed solution.
