Abstract
Filter are very important as a part of artificial organ to play roles of separation and isolation. Porous ceramics are expected to be used as a future generation in vivo filter. An application of the in vivo filter is the use as an immunoisolation device. The requirements of the immunoisolation device are both permeability of required substances and isolation from immune substance. The objective of this study is to estimate the effect of porosity and pore size on the permeability and the immunoisolation.
