Abstract
Effect of Ba/Ti ratio on solid state synthesis process of BaTiO3 was investigated. In the case of the mixture of 0.5BaCO3 and calcined BaO-1.5TiO2 mixture, only BaTiO3 was obtained after heating at 1000oC. However, in the case of the mixture of 0.5TiO2 and calcined 1.5BaO-TiO2 mixture, BaTiO3 and small amount of secondary phase were obtained after heating at 1000oC. Suppression of formation of Ba excess secondary phase is more important on synthesis process of BaTiO3 was considered.
