Abstract
Aluminosilicate imogolite nanotube were coated on a PLLA/vaterite composite layer on a zirconia substrate. Scanning electron microscopic (SEM) observation showed that the imogolite layer strongly adhered to the PLLA/vaterite composite layer even after a tape-test and an ultrasonic treatment. The initial attachment of mouse osteoblast-like cells (MC3T3-E1) for the imogolite-coated sample was better than that for non-coated one.
