Abstract
Formaldehyde dehydrogenase (FDH) immobilized on mesoporous silica (MPS) could not improve the thermal stability. In present study, we prepared the FDH immobilized on mesoporous zirconia (MPZ) for improvement of thermal stability. As a result, FDH immobilized on MPZ showed higher thermal stability and substrate affinity than that on MPS. The reason was considered to be highly biocompatible and mesoporous structure of MPZ. This material is applicable to DDS carriers for heat-sensitive drug and biomolecules.
