Abstract
We have succeeded to regenerate tooth enamel by using flexible hydroxyapatite (HAp) sheets. In this study, we tried enamel regeneration by composite sheet which deposited a α-TCP thin film on the HAp sheet. The HAp/α-TCP composite sheets are stick onto polished surface of extracted teeth with calcium phosphate solution. The time dependence of the composition at the interfaces between the composite sheet and the teeth surfaces was evaluated by an X-ray diffraction (XRD) method. After one day past, the XRD pattern completely matched with that of teeth enamel. Also, the adherence between composite sheet and teeth enamel was evaluated by tensile test.
