Experience with using a novel disposable endoscope (Ambu^® aScope™ Gastro)

Abstract

At our acute phase hospital, emergency endoscopy cases and patients requiring endoscopy procedures performed by the bed side in the intensive care unit are on an increasing trend.

We herein report two patients with using a novel disposable endoscope that became available in Japan in March 2023 which we introduced previously.

In both patients, hemostatic clamps were applied and hemostasis was ultimately achieved by local injection of cyanoacrylate. At the time of using cyanoacrylate, there was a high possibility of endoscopy damage, and it was thought that the use of an endoscope was useful.
