Abstract
Four cases colonic lymphangioma diagnosed by colonoscopy and endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) were reported.
Case 1 : A 49-year-old female was examined by colonoscopy and submucosal tumor was found in the transverse colon. EUS showed a localized nonechoic area in the submucosal layer. Endoscopic polypectomy was performed and histological examination revealed cystic lymhangioma.
Case 2 to 3 were examined by the same way and the diagnosis of these lesions were cystic and cavernous hemangiomas. Biopsy specimen was not useful in case 4.
In conclusion, both colonoscopy and EUS were useful tool for diagnosis of colonic lymphangioma.
