Abstract
Inclusive treatment including initial preparation treatment, root separation , periodontal surgery and periodontal prosthesis, was undertaken in a patient with chronic periodontitis with serious vertical bone defects and molars with furcation involvement.
An Ikeda-type byte plate was used, diagnosed, and self-therapeutic suggestion was used for the occlusal trauma. Both the inflammation and the occlusal trauma were taken into account, the tooth surroundings were treated, and the patient has shown an excellent course for ten years after the treatment.
