Abstract

Angular momentum changes due to nuclear-plasma interactions on highly-excited nuclei in high energy density plasmas created at the National Ignition Facility can be measured through a change in isomer feeding following gamma emission. We propose an experiment to detect these effects in 133Xein exploding pusher capsules.
