At our facility, we perform invaginated axial stripping operation against varicose of the great saphenous vein. The anesthesia is performed by combination of femoral nerve blocking and tumescent local anesthesia. We confirm common femoral vein by the milking of the leg during an operation. Among the patients introduced to our clinic, we also experienced cases of pyoderma gangrenosum or lower leg ulcers due to vasculitis. In daily dermatology clinic, we have frequent opportunities to face symptoms which can be caused by lower leg varicose vein. However, lower leg ulcers are not necessarily caused by lower leg varicose vein. Dermatologists should give precise diagnosis and offer appropriate treatment direction.
