Cyanoacrylate closure (CAC) became a health application in Japan in December 2019, and the number of cases is increasing nationwide. However, since it is a new treatment, there is still no clear consensus on its complications and preventive measures. In this study, we report the experience of multiple granulomas along with cyanoacrylate (CA)-filled great saphenous vein (GSV) in the chronic phase after CAC. 81-year-old woman with scleroderma, a stable condition, was performed CAC for GSV, and on postoperative day 50 multiple granulomas developed on the medial thigh along GSV filled with CA. CT scan revealed the granulomas developed in the area where the CA-filled GSV ran just under the skin. The entire CA-filled GSV was surgically removed and pathologically examined. Histopathological examination revealed the formation of skin erosion, along with marked inflammatory cell infiltration and foreign body granuloma formation. However, no findings suggestive of scleroderma were observed. Postoperatively, there has been no recurrence of the granuloma.
