Abstract

Ultra-intense laser can drive quantum beam generation and acceleration through relativistic laser plasma interaction. This paper reviews electron acceleration mechanism by the relativistic ultra-intense laser, and activity of ultra-intense laser particle acceleration and its application. Topics are including ion acceleration, electron wake field acceleration, x-ray or γ-ray generation and acceleration, and neutron source as well as inertial fusion energy.
