Abstract

Choosing “Technological Innovation” as a keyword to depict the historical developments of photographic cameras from the age of camera obscura to the age of advanced film, we all realize that today's cameras or image capturing tools truly face a revolutionary transformation with the advent of digital imaging technologies. Being cut off from their long and intimate relationship with the photographic film, cameras transformed themselves into unprecedented photographic tools in a newly emerged digital photography field. Let us contour the technological trend of modern cameras by tracing their developments up to the most advanced digital technology applications.
