1) The homogenates of Yoshida sarcoma and Yoshida ascites hepatoma present a marked potency in depressing the liver catalase activity of mice in vivo, while the homogenates of normal tissues (liver, kidney, and spleen) have no potency.
2) As to the intracellular distribution of the potent substance, the supernatant fraction (soluble protein+microsomes) was found to be main container of the potent substance in contrast to lack of the same in the nuclear and the mitochondrial fraction.
3) The supernatant fraction shows a definite toxicity, which brings about early death in experimental animals.
