Human liver ribosomes were separated by Takanami's method, and the blood types were evaluated through the hemagglutination inhibition test applied to the ribosomes. Ribosomes obtained from individual of type B absorbed anti-B serum specifically. These blood group antigens were not influenced by treatment with RNase but released through the action of blood group substances decomposing enzyme.
