Abstract

Microelectrophoretic applications of basic histamine releasers, toluidine blue, compound 48/80 and sinomenine, were made to the isolated rat mast cells, both intra- and extracellularly. All these releasers caused a local degranulation at the membrane site of topical application of the mast cell, and this could be repeatedly caused in the same cell. But, an intracellular ejection of these releasers could evoke no degranulation, n-Decylamine did cause the degranulation neither by extra- nor intracellular application.
