If zooids were transected at the middle level between the branchial and atrial apertures. Double posterior regenerates were produced from the posterior halves, with the reversal of the antero-posterior (A-P) axis in the regenerated region. If the double posterior regenerates were re-transected at the middle level, the halves with the new posterior part formed zooids with the reversed bilateral asymmetry.
