Abstract
Karyotype of a male hybrid between the female domestic cat (Fells catus) and the male leopard cat (F. bengalensis) was analysed. The hybrid had 38 chromosomes identical with the both parents, but two chromosomes (B-5 and F-2) had no partner; one B-5 chromosome was of the male leopard cat origin, and one F-2 chromosome was derived from the female domestic cat.
