C.parakruseiの抗原

Tsuchiya et al. carried out the antigenic analysis of seven species of genus Candida by the method of the slide agglutination reaction with the antisera after reciprocal absorption and they came to the conclusion that C. parakrusei had five kinds (I, II, III, VII and VIII) of antigens. However, the strain of C. parakusei (D) used in their experiment was not quite typical in its biological properties. The present writer performed the similar antigenic analysis with the most typical strain of C. parakrusei. The results showed that, in addituon to the five antigens mentioned above, there was another antigen XI which was strictly specific to C. parakrusei. The validity of the antigenic structure of six other species of genus Candida in Tsuchiya's experiment was confirmed. The D strain was found to differ from the typical one in its forming a thin film on the Sabouraud's broth and in its lower ability of producing antibodies homologous to antigen XI immunizing the rabbit.
