Abstract
Patient was a 20 years old male student who fell from the height of 25 meters fracturing the neck of the talus.
It was not possible to closed reduction without surgical operation and thefore the bone was extracted and replaced through another wound making the position about normal.
A cast fixation was carried out for 3 months and then changed to a brace seven months after operation bone boring was performed a couple of times in order to enhance the blood circulation of the necrotic bone.
At present he has no subjective symptoms as far as every day living is concerned. X-ray and histologcial examinations show that the bone was well healed. This case has been followed up twice since then by X-ray and histological studies with excellent results.
