Abstract

The impact of interdisciplinary research has been increased in public policy and management field of science and technology. However, the style and number of citation are significantly different depends on the research area. Then this study would like to approach this dilemma to make an standardization and normalization for interdisciplinary research. In order to tackle this problem, we presented a new metric based on CNCI and dataset of qualified papers. As a result, we found that overall trend of the citation impact of multidisciplinary sciences is decreased than (single-)disciplinary research, but also the impact is different depends on which discipline has been recognized as a pair. Overall. this topic is still challenging but we found out some of overall dynamics about multidisciplinary sciences.
