An annotation method for a discussion model based on the IBIS structure

Abstract

We propose an annotation method for making training data to develop an automated facilitation agent on the online discussion system. The targets of our developing online discussion system are mainly tackling social wicked problems, therefore in order to progress discussions efficiently, we introduced the Issue-Based Information System’s approach into our discussion structuring model. We conducted online discussions based on that model and to collect discussion data. In order to make training data, we annotated those collected data with our defined components. We could achieve to make a prototype automated facilitation agent with using our original annotated data.
