Abstract

In this research, we developed an autonomous drone flight program for a rescue support. This program allows the drone to search autonomously for a target person to be rescued by an image processing using cameras. If once the drone finds the target person, the drone obtains the position data of the target person and searches for a route on which rescue vehicles can travel from a waiting place for rescue vehicles to the position of the target person. Then, the drone returns to the waiting place for rescue vehicles while shooting the route. An experiment confirmed that an operation of the drone flight program worked successfully by a movement of the drone and flight log data on a simulator. The result of the experiment suggested to be able to realize the autonomous drone flight program which searches the target person and leads the rescue vehicle to the position of the target person even in a real world.
