Pottery molding process through eye movement – the Pot as a subject

Abstract

Pottery is a historical art all over the world. For the sake of skill transfer in the pottery molding process, authors explore the dynamic way of visualizing a master’s work by using eye-tracking data. Sensing the master’s eye movement on his own work for molding the pot as a subject, the entire eye movement data has been compared with the molding process described in the published handbook. As a result, the eye movement data could be visualized simultaneously with the general guided process.
