Saga Prefecture often suffers disasters such as landslides and floods caused by heavy rain. A hazard map of Geographical Survey Institute, “Overlapping hazard map” illustrates a prediction of inundation depth by color using a basic map based on Mercator projection. Because the hazard map is flat and viewed from above, people cannot intuitively predict an inundation risk. Therefore, in this paper, we developed a system that allows a person to experience the situation when his/her current location is flooded by a simulation with an Augmented Reality (AR) of a smartphone. Moreover, an image photographed by the smartphone and his/her location data are preserved in the system and uploaded to a server. Then, because users of the system can view these data on a map application, they can realize how much inundation risk their location have as a disaster or a disaster prevention.
