Prediction of Residential Insulation Performance Based on Electricity Usage and Temperature

Abstract

We conducted a survey of about 900 houses using a method of estimating the insulation of houses by measuring the temperature drop during night. We used the acquired data to estimate the thermal insulation performance of each household from the electricity usage of each household by machine learning. As a result, we found that the heat insulation performance of the house can be estimated from their usage of electricity.
