The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in clinical practice is addressing issues such as excessive work by physicians and improving the quality of medical care. In December 2018, the Health Policy Bureau of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare issued a notification stating that "AI is only a support tool, and physicians are responsible for decision making when using AI-assisted diagnosis." Various factors, such as explainability and safety, are thought to influence the use of medical AI in the field. However, medical AI is diverse and needs to be analyzed in detail according to various types. We categorized the types of AI and conducted a questionnaire survey of 2005 physicians from May to June 2019. We analyzed concerns and trust in medical AI, and clarified the requirements for trust and acceptance.
