A legal perspective on the use of datasets and trained statistical models

Abstract

A variety of large-scale datasets and learned statistical models have been made available by universities and research institutes, and research based on them has been conducted. When developing services using these resources, it is necessary to check the licenses, but in many cases it is not clear what is or is not allowed. In this study, we examine the feasibility of applications based on laws and licenses.
