Creation of a DX Challenge Book by DX Team

Abstract

Sustainable hospital management requires not only improved cost performance, but also a management strategy based on digital transformation (DX). Because the healthcare sector requires strict adherence to many public regulations and privacy, continuous on-premises efforts are required rather than outsourcing DX. To increase DX literacy among the staff, a DX team was formed with volunteers, and instructional videos on artificial intelligence, information and communication technology, software usage technology and no-code development were made to improve their skills. In addition, a list of current digitalization accomplishments was drawn up from each department in the hospital, and the feasibility and cost of achieving these goals were estimated. We proposed the latest technology and presented a vision of the future of medicine based on digital technology as a “DX challenge book.” I will introduce some of the issues we identified during the creation process and ideas for applying artificial intelligence technology.
