Along with development of IT society, there is a need for change in the way people should be. In this paper, we will examine how people and society should be based on a new concept of "dividual," moving away from the traditional concept of the "individual. We are already participating in social networking sites as a part of ourselves and engaging in multiple activities in different communities simultaneously. Therefore, we believe that “dividual-based social system”, the society structured with the "dividual" as the basic unit, is more suitable for IT society, in particular, AI society in which various agents participate society. Here a human consists of multiple dividuals each of which is representation of a human. Dividual-based social system is a society of which members are dividuals and agents by AI. We will summarize the historical background of the concept of the "dividual," define the requirements for the dividual-based social system, and show challenges to the realization of the dividual-based social system based on four modalities of regulation.
