VR Educational System Utilizing Eye Movements Information for Improvement of Nursing Practical Skills

Abstract

With the aim to bridge the gap between education and practice in the nursing profession, we have developed a VR educational system that enables users to experience a simulation of the actual work environment. Since it is critical to practical learning that learners acquire the ability to notice the important points, our system’s primary goal is to foster their decision-making ability by utilizing eye movements information. Through this study, we have successfully detected a certain pattern in the eye movements of the users, suggesting insights into what and how this educational intervention could be utilized more in the future.
