In Japan, progress has been made in releasing datasets by public institutions, but concerns about privacy protection persist. However, this issue is not unique to Japan. Denmark, recognized as one of the most digitally advanced countries, prioritizes high-quality data provision in its national strategy. As an EU member state, Denmark must comply with strict regulations like GDPR and forthcoming AI laws, prompting active discussions on data release and privacy. In Japan, legal studies have evolved through the adoption of foreign legal systems and theories. This presentation introduces Denmark's efforts to balance increased dataset release with privacy, aiming to consider similar actions in Japan. This paper concludes Denmark's focus on providing high-quality data while respecting privacy, discussing aspects like information reuse, pseudonymization, and addressing environmental issues through data utilization, which could serve as valuable references for Japan.
