Abstract

From the perspective of an ontological design that considers the history of human evolution as a co-evolution with tools, starting from stone tools, it is assumed that there is a need for philosophy in the way people interact with smart cities, which are modern cities augmented by computational machinery such as sensor networks, AI, and robots. In this context, the author is advancing a project named 'Smart City, Fungi, and Buddha' with the aim of conceptualizing one way of depicting a new world that deviates from the modern city as a symbol of conscious and rational thought. While comparing knowledge perspectives such as the 'true self' as described in Kiyoshi Oka's 'Life with Mathematics' with 'Machine Mind' and 'Non-Discriminative Wisdom', this project discusses the physical forms of knowledge that should be exhibited in this new world.
