AI SPEC: Speculation on Possible Futures with AI

Abstract

In recent years, as AI technology becomes more prevalent, various ethical issues have emerged. It is crucial for developers within organizations to engage in proactive discussions for fostering a culture of AI ethics. To address this, we have launched a project called AI SPEC, led by designers and AI engineers, aiming to create a platform for discussions about the possible futures with AI, regardless of one's expertise. We have created manga depicting possible future scenarios and developed self-learning tools and workshops utilizing the manga. These initiatives have shown the potential to contribute not only to our internal improvements, but also to improving AI literacy in society as a whole and creating social climate for realizing a better future.
