Abstract

In the field of nursing education, nursing learners practice making nursing care plan and pathological related diagrams in groups in order to acquire the ability to develop the nursing process. In this study, we address the issue that it is difficult for instructors to properly evaluate individuals when grading this exercise. The specific approach is to use an online tool for group work to create a nursing care plan and pathological related diagram and to measure the contribution of each individual from the tool's log. We asked nursing learners to actually use the tool to work on the exercises and calculated their individual contribution according to a contribution model focusing on workload. The results of this experiment provided insight into the actual exercise situation. In the future, we plan to improve and evaluate the contribution model focusing on the content of diagrams based on the instructor's individual evaluation criteria.
