"A set of software tools that use compactly supported radial basis functions (CSRBFs) to process scattered data is proposed in this paper. Due to the special algorithms implemented in this study, the resulting software enables to handle large data sets in a reasonable time for such applications as reconstruction of functionally defined geometric objects, surface retouching, and shape modifications (animations). In this work we sum up our approach and highlight some effective applications. Computational complexity of the algorithms is investigated and various examples of applications are given."
