Abstract
A new mogoplistid genus and species is described under the name of Tubarama iriomotejimana from the Island of Iriomote-jima in the Ryukyu Islands. The new genus Tubarama is very closely related to the Australian genus Kiah, but the former is slightly distinguished from the latter by the ratios of pronotal length to exposed fore wing length and of the 5th segment length to its width in maxillary palp. In addition to these, the former occurs in leaf litter on dark ground in coastal forests, while the latter does in grassy, slightly wooded plains.
