Abstract
One specimen belonging to the genus Paragonaster, which was collected from off Yuki, Tokushima Pref., was examined. This specimen shows an intermediate character between P. etenipes ctenipes SLADEN and P. ctenipes hypacanthus FISHER. Thus the basis to establish the subspecies no longer exists and the present specimen is referable to P. ctenipes. Description on this specimen is given in some detail.
