Four new species of spider mites from Japan are described and illustrated : Schizotetranychus brevisetosus from Quercus (Honshu and Shikoku), Eotetranychus cornicola from Cornus (Hokkaido and Honshu), E. tsugaruensis from Cercidiphyllum (Honshu), and E. nomurai from Aphananthe (Honshu).
