Abstract
A case report of a compound odontoma which was operated after four years and five months follow up
A 6-year-old boy visited a dental clinic, complaining of delayed eruption of teeth. On examination, in the panoramic radiograph, small multiple radio-opaque structures were found incidentally in the right side mandible. Then he was introduced to our outpatient clinic.
It was diagnosed as odontoma, however his permanent teeth eruption and the apex of the root canal were not accomplished. Then we followed up for four years and five months.
When he was 11 years and 3 months old, the lesion was removed under general anaesthesia. He has been followed up for one and a half-years with no evidence of recurrence.
