Recently the orthodontic treatment of impacted teeth by traction became common as the dental material and technique developed. Although there are numerous cases in maxillary incisor and canine in particular, but rare cases exist in mandible.
In this article, we experienced a rare case of impacted lower lateral incisor, which was found due to the prolongedretention of deciduous teeth in a 9 years 3 months old boy. The impacted lateral incisor was inclined distally and caused the resorption of roots of primary canine and first primary mol ar. By the long-term treatment with surgical fenestration and orthodontic traction, the lateral incisor was aligned in the dental arch.
