Stark Effect on Hydrogen Molecule (Part I)

Abstract

The Stark effect on H₂-spectrum in the red and yellow region (H_α→ 5690Å) was measured using dispersion abut 8.1Å/mm. With a field strength 208, 000V/cm better resolution of components was obtained than in former investigations. The results were compared with the theoretical displacements roughly calculated as due to the mutual influences among neighbouring terms, specially for antisymmetrical lines of _??_(0, 0) band
