Abstract

Firstly, some fundamental properties of the thermal diffusion column were studied with 2 meter tube. The separation factor increased considerably with the increase of the temperature difference and there was a maximum value of separation factor at a certain temperature, Nextly, 9.5 meter tube was constructed and the satisfactory performance of the column was confirmed by the separation of oxygen from the air. During this separation, concentration of argon in the air was observed
