The separation of the chlorine isotopes was made by a 7.5meter thermal diffusion column and it was found that the heavy sample contained 44% of the heavier isotope of chlorine Cl37 and the light sample contained 8% of it. These measurement of the constitution of the chlorine isotopes were made by a gas density-meter of new type.
It was confirmed in two ways that, 37 minutes radioactive chlorine is ascribed to Cl38. One method consists in the comparison of the intensity of 37min. both obtained by the irradiation of slow neutrons on both heavy and normal chlorine samples and the other method is based on the concentration of radioactive hydrogen chlorine gas by a thermal diffusion column
