γ-rays Emitted from 24Na, 27Mg, 28Al and 38Cl

Abstract

Energies of γ-rays emitted from 24Na, 27Mg, 28Al and 38Cl were determined precisely by analysing secondary electrons with a magnetic spectrometer. The results obtained are as follows:
24Na; 2.80mev and 1.38mev with intensity ratio 1:1.05.
27Mg; 1.02mev, C.84mev and 0.64mev With intensity ratios 0.3:1.0:0.45.
28Al; 1.82mev (single line).
38Cl; 2.19mev and 1.64mev with intensity ratio 1.0:0.87.
The errors in energy measurements are about 1%. Level schemes of product nuclei are deduced in the cases of 24Na, 28Al and 39Cl in connection with β-ray transformations
