γ-rays Emitted from ²⁴Na, ²⁷Mg, ²⁸Al and ³⁸Cl

Abstract

Energies of γ-rays emitted from ²⁴Na, ²⁷Mg, ²⁸Al and ³⁸Cl were determined precisely by analysing secondary electrons with a magnetic spectrometer. The results obtained are as follows:
²⁴Na; 2.80mev and 1.38mev with intensity ratio 1:1.05.
²⁷Mg; 1.02mev, C.84mev and 0.64mev With intensity ratios 0.3:1.0:0.45.
²⁸Al; 1.82mev (single line).
³⁸Cl; 2.19mev and 1.64mev with intensity ratio 1.0:0.87.
The errors in energy measurements are about 1%. Level schemes of product nuclei are deduced in the cases of ²⁴Na, ²⁸Al and ³⁹Cl in connection with β-ray transformations
