Musashino City carried out the process of investigating what may be considered a lively appearance suitable for the region together with citizens and local companies/organizations. The characteristics of this research are: analysis of an activity survey to grasp ways to use space and user density efficiently, even in a space with many users; confirmation of the effectiveness of expressing the quality of a lively place; and conducting a text mining analysis of a questionnaire survey for deep qualitative of user evaluation and objective description. Each method can be implemented relatively easily and has high versatility, and are expected to be utilized in regions without research by universities.
